We are seeking an experienced Director of Regulatory & Quality to join our team. Reporting to the VP, Operations, the ideal candidate has regulatory and quality experience and a passion for beauty and haircare products. This role will manage the regulatory and quality compliance activities for the brand, assuring that the company’s products, labeling, claims, product registrations, regulatory filings, and collateral comply with all regulatory and quality standards domestically and internationally, including cGMP’s, FDA, UK and all other applicable US and international regulatory and cosmetic industry guidelines.


  • Initiate, submit, and manage all international product registrations, Dossiers, and timelines start to finish for the brand, to ensure timely product registrations to meet launch calendar timing for applicable global markets (currently Australia/New Zealand, Canada, UK, Middle East)
  • Manage cosmetic compliance and labeling of the company’s products in conformance with domestic and international industry guidelines.
  • Issue approved ingredient lists for applicable markets
  • Prepare and issue all regulatory documents and product filings to various agencies, distributors, and customers requesting them as needed.
  • Liaise with Legal and PD regarding product claims and claims substantiation
  • Collaborate, liaise with, and manage outside Regulatory and QC/QA Consultant support
  • Monitor policy and legislation updates, changes, and trends relevant to the brand’s business priorities and operations, and proactively inform senior function leaders of the potential impacts.
  • Serve as the regulatory authority for the brand.
  • Maintain key department logs, files and libraries including International product registrations status, and QC/QA logs and documents (NCR, FG Release log, SOPs).
  • Manage the Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) process for the brand, including issuing, tracking, and closing out CAPAs. Monitor the process and disposition of all issued Non-conformance Reports (NCR).
  • Assist in coordination of Quality Audits and incident investigations to assure timely completion of corrective actions, as well as on-going compliance with Quality Assurance Standards.


  • 5-7 years of experience in regulatory affairs, domestically and internationally and quality
  • Experience working in hair, beauty, and/or wellness consumer packaged goods strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent working experience in regulatory and quality
  • Proficiency with international product registration requirements
  • Working knowledge of QC/QA processes, procedures and standards
  • Ability to understand and write technical documentation
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Flexible and adaptable to change, proactive team player


Base Salary Range: $140K - $160K. Individual pay decisions are based on a number of factors including qualifications for the role and experience.
