The Head of Influencer Marketing & PR will leverage industry expertise and in-depth knowledge to lead the management and execution of the influencer and communications strategy. This includes all paid partnerships, affiliate, live selling and organic initiatives. This position will focus on building brand awareness and driving sales.

Reporting to the Sr Director Customer Marketing, this person will be a highly motivated individual ready to own and grow our influencer marketing strategy. They will be flexible managing multiple initiatives, timelines, and quick turnarounds and will collaborate with cross functional teams (Brand Marketing, Ecommerce, Sales and Education) as well leading an influencer team of 3. Alongside the Sr. Director of Customer Marketing, they will be responsible for day-to-day management of our PR agency and have a hands-on role in strategy.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of hair and overall beauty and have an authentic connection with the Vegamour brand positioning. Candidate requires exceptional communication and presentation skills and is a highly creative strategic thinker and excellent team player & collaborator with the ability to motivate and inspire both direct and cross functional teams.

ABOUT YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Partnerships/Influencers

  • Lead the influencer marketing strategy and establish a new approach to explode our brand awareness, engagement and sales through a groundswell of paid and organic influencer partnerships across all social platforms, with a clear bias for TikTok
  • Manage a team of 3 A+ influencer marketers who lead the Organic, Affiliate, Live Selling programs — nurturing and developing their skill sets and ongoing growth
  • Oversee/manage the paid partnerships program (including macro-influencer outreach and negotiations & relationships) with a focus on driving brand awareness, developing strong content, securing diverse, on-brand talent
  • Oversee the Affiliate Influencer & Liveselling programs in with a focus and relationship management, revenue, commission and contract spend, and ROI
  • Identify key influencer partners for Vegamour across multiple hair adjacent categories and cohorts (wellness, fitness, lifestyle, etc)
  • Build community — from micro-influencers to mega, enable creators to discover Vegamour and fall in love with the brand, culminating in compelling organic and paid content
  • Establish and maintain long-term relationships with key contacts within the influencer space, and nurture your team to do the same
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support the development of influencer strategies, helping to build campaigns that meet brand objectives
  • Analyze Influencer campaign performance to provide valuable insights to key stakeholders, as well as to maintain internal benchmarks — revenue and awareness
  • Maintain an understanding of influencer marketing landscape, staying on top of trends and implementing changes as needed
  • Define metrics and KPIs to measure the success and impact of influencer team efforts across all channels and report-out monthly

Public Relations

  • Alongside the Sr. Director of Customer Marketing, support the PR calendar & strategy as it relates to the brand marketing calendar and company vision
  • Day-to-day management of our Public Relations agencies across:
    • An always-on strategy that encompasses innovation and core products
    • Trade press: Establish brand founder as a thought leader within the hair industry
    • Experts, Awards Submissions, events and affiliate PR

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS & ABILITIES

  • 6+ years of experience across both influencer marketing and PR - beauty, hair preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, journalism, or related field preferred
  • Experience working at innovative, fast-paced startups or indie/digital brands is a plus
  • Adaptable, resourceful, and forward-thinking
  • A deep understanding of TikTok native creators and what makes successful, entertaining and/or educational content in partnership with brands
  • Must be an excellent communicator, natural leader, team player
  • Creative & self-starting individual; must be agile and able to multi-task, manage complexity and problem solve on the fly and can personally organize and set priorities
  • Ability to take ownership of projects and drive others to meet deadlines
  • Demonstrates a strong work ethic, high integrity, and commitment to excellence
  • Passion for storytelling, specifically in clean/wellness sector
  • Proven success leading cross-functional team, and processes
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Strong technical/ computer skills in Microsoft Office and Google Workplace
